Emily's honest take
Absolutely, mama! Eating thoroughly cooked chicken is generally safe and a wonderful source of protein for you and your growing baby. Just be sure it's cooked all the way through, with no pink meat visible and juices running clear, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to prevent harmful bacteria like Salmonella.

It's best to avoid undercooked chicken, and be mindful of cold pre-cooked or processed chicken from deli counters, as these can pose a small risk of Listeria bacteria. If you're eating leftover cooked chicken, make sure it's been properly chilled and reheat it until it's steaming hot throughout.

Always check with your OB if you have any specific concerns!
