alcohol — Best avoided during pregnancy
A note from Emily
Emily's honest take
Oh mama, this is such an important question for your little one's health. Major health organizations like the CDC, ACOG, and the NHS all agree that there's no known safe amount of alcohol, no safe time, and no safe type of alcohol to drink while you're pregnant. Drinking alcohol during pregnancy can lead to serious, lifelong risks for your baby, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASDs), which can cause physical, intellectual, and behavioral challenges. Since your baby's brain and organs are developing throughout your entire pregnancy, it's recommended to avoid all alcohol to keep any risk to your little one to a minimum.

It's always best to check with your OB for personalized advice, mama.
