peanut butter — Yes during pregnancy
A note from Emily
Emily's honest take
Good news, mama! You can absolutely enjoy peanut butter while pregnant, as long as you don't have a peanut allergy yourself. In fact, many health organizations, including the NHS, advise that there's no need to avoid peanuts during pregnancy. Current research suggests that eating peanuts doesn't increase your baby's risk of developing a peanut allergy, and some studies even suggest it might help reduce it. Peanut butter is also a wonderful source of protein, healthy fats, and folate, which are all beneficial for you and your growing baby! When choosing a peanut butter, it's often recommended to pick natural varieties that are lower in added sugars and unhealthy fats.

Always check with your OB if you have any specific concerns.
