A note from Emily
Emily's honest take
Oh, mama, I hear you, sometimes a glass of wine sounds lovely. However, the resounding advice from health experts like the CDC, NHS, and ACOG is that there is no known safe amount or safe time to drink any type of alcohol during pregnancy. All types of alcohol, including wine, can pass from you to your baby and potentially cause a range of lifelong issues, such as fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs), and increase risks like miscarriage and preterm birth. While some older or more relaxed advice might sometimes circulate, these major health bodies consistently recommend complete abstinence to keep any risk to your baby to a minimum.

Always check with your OB for personalized guidance.
